Anxiety Costume in 2026: Where to Buy, and Why
Last updated June 8, 2026
Anxiety is the breakout Emotion of Inside Out 2: the orange newcomer who took over Riley's head and walked off with the movie. That makes her the marquee add to any Inside Out group this Halloween, the one people get before you say the word.
She also works as a solo costume. The orange skin and the tall volcanic-eruption updo of darker-orange hair are the whole silhouette: lose the hair and you're a person in a striped sweater.
So the buy comes down to one fork: the adult jumpsuit, the only boxed adult costume, or one of two licensed kids picks if Anxiety is the child's choice.
HalloweenCostumes.com carries the only adult Anxiety we found. Its licensed jumpsuit ships with the orange volcanic-updo headpiece, $69.99 in S–XL. One buyer flagged the hair as wobbly.
HalloweenCostumes.com cuts the kids version to $39.99 from $59.99, the same licensed jumpsuit-and-hair build in child S/M/L. It's the cheaper kids pick and the only one stocking the headpiece for a child.
Target's Disguise kids costume runs $53.38 in child sizes 4-6, 7-8, and 10-12, licensed, the second kids option. Its one reviewer rated it 3/5 and called the headpiece too heavy.
An orange-and-cream striped sweater, rust pants, a spiky orange wig, and face paint to match build a passable Anxiety, with that wild updo as the costume's centerpiece, the one piece worth buying new. Spirit Halloween has carried an adult Anxiety kit around $44.99 as a fuller route; check Spirit's site for the current listing.
Per-retailer reviews
HalloweenCostumes.com (adult) — the full review
HalloweenCostumes.com carries the only adult Anxiety costume we found: a licensed Disney and Pixar jumpsuit with the orange volcanic-updo headpiece built in, $69.99 in sizes S through XL.
The headpiece is the signature piece — the tall eruption of darker-orange hair that makes the costume work — and it mounts on elastic straps over a plastic headband.
One buyer on the product page flagged the built-in hair as wobbly. That’s a single-review signal, so treat it as a heads-up about the headpiece, not a verdict on the costume.
The striped sweater and orange hair are handled; the auburn lace-up boots and gold-buckle belt are yours to source.
HalloweenCostumes.com also makes the kids Anxiety, and it’s the cheaper of the two kids picks: a licensed jersey-knit jumpsuit with the same orange-hair headpiece, cut to $39.99 from $59.99, in child sizes S, M, and L.
It’s the only kids buy here that includes the headpiece, so a child gets the full silhouette in one box rather than a sweater that needs its hair built separately.
This kids listing carries no reviews of its own, so we make no fit claim beyond the size chart; measure against it before ordering. (The wobbly-hair note above belongs to the adult listing, a separate product page, and we don’t carry it over here.)
Target carries the second kids pick: a licensed Disguise classic Anxiety costume — jumpsuit plus headpiece — at $53.38, in child sizes 4-6, 7-8, and 10-12.
It’s licensed and the second kids option, worth picking if you’d rather order from Target or need a size HalloweenCostumes.com doesn’t carry.
The product page carries one review, rated 3 of 5, that called the headpiece too heavy for its headband. That feedback belongs to this Target listing only; it’s a different product page from the HalloweenCostumes.com kids costume, so we keep it on this row.
HalloweenCostumes.com (adult): sizes S–XL. One product-page review flagged the built-in hair as wobbly; no fit signal beyond that, so measure against the size chart.
HalloweenCostumes.com (kids): child S–L. No reviews on this listing; order to the size chart.
Target (Disguise kids): child 4-6, 7-8, 10-12. One reviewer rated it 3 of 5 and called the headpiece too heavy for its headband; size the body against the chart.
Between sizes? The adult starts at S and the kids versions top out at child L (or Target’s 10-12). Nothing bridges the gap between the two, so a tween-sized wearer may need the adult S and a tailored fit.

Spirit Halloween has circulated an adult Anxiety kit around $44.99 in past seasons, which would slot between the DIY route and the HalloweenCostumes.com jumpsuit. We couldn’t confirm its price or stock for 2026, so it stays in the DIY note as a re-check rather than a priced buy.
Amazon lists Inside Out 2 Anxiety costumes across third-party sellers at varying prices and review counts. The product-to-listing mapping shifts week to week, so use it as a price check, not a primary buy.
